Andrew Seager Archives of the Built Environment

About Our Collections

The Andrew Seager Archives of the Built Environment collects original architectural and design drawings, models, trade publications, building remnants, photographs, and documents relating to buildings, sites, and structures in Indiana. Broadly, our collections relate to Indiana achitecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, and interior design. The Seager Archives also collects materials documenting the history of statewide professional practice, Indiana design practitioners, and the history of the College of Architecture and Planning at Ball State University.

The Seager Archives does not broadly collect materials for buildings, sites, or structures located outside of Indiana. Similarly, the Seager Archives does not collect sources relating to general or world architectural and design history (i.e. roman architecture) or design practitioners without ties to Indiana.

Donating to the Seager Archives

The Seager Archives accepts contributions of architectural and design records from architects, architectural firms, or other collectors in possession of relevant materials which fall within our collecting scope and mission. Our donor form facilitates proper transfer of your collection and its intellectual content to the Andrew Seager Archives of the Built Environment and the Ball State University Libraries. To discuss planning a donation, contact Cody Sprunger, Archivist for Architectural and Design Records, at (765) 285-8441 or dakota.sprunger@bsu.edu.
