Muncie Public Library – Local History and Genealogy Center

The Muncie Public Library's Local History and Genealogy Center collection includes vertical files, cemetery and funeral home records, Census records, Delaware County histories, family histories, official Delaware County records (deeds, marriages, probate, court records, birth, and death records) in original format and on microfilm, and a newspaper subject/obituary index. The center is located in the Carnegie Library in downtown Muncie (301 E. Jackson Street) and is open to researchers Mon, Tue, Thur 9am-6pm.

  • Use the Muncie/Delaware County Digital Resource Library database to search for images from various Delaware County records held by the Muncie Public Library including Beech Grove Cemetary Records, Deeds, Delaware County Court Records, Funeral Home Records, Obituaries, and Wills.
