Have University Libraries Books Delivered to You

University Libraries Interlibrary Loan will deliver books from the Architecture Library or Bracken Library to your home address or the CAP Indy Center. The library will ship the books to you for free, but you are responsible for getting the books back to campus.

To have books delivered to you:

  1. Search OneSearch for books.

  2. Look for the Request the item with Interlibrary Loan / ILLiad link in the OneSearch record for the book.

  3. If signing up for the first time, be sure to select "Distance Ed Grad" in the Status menu.

If you're already signed up, you can check your status by logging in to the University Libraries' Interlibrary Loan system and going to your Profile.
  4. Fill out a New Request for a book or article (see menu on left side of screen).

  5. If you would like the book shipped to the CAP Indy Center instead of your home address, specify this in the Note box.

If the book is checked out, you'll need to hold/recall the book and then have it sent to you via Interlibrary Loan:

  1. Login to OneSearch:
  2. Click Request, and set the Pickup Location to Bracken Library.

Use Other Academic Libraries of Indiana

Ball State students may also use other Indiana libraries in ALI, the Academic Libraries of Indiana, such as the IUPUI Library, to check out materials. To use an ALI library:

  1. Obtain an ALI Borrower's Card from Bracken Library.

  2. Take your ALI Borrower's Card, your Ball State ID, and a photo ID with current address when you visit participating ALI Libraries.
