Find Books

Books and articles will make up the core of your research. These textual sources contain the research of established scholars, and they can help you interpret the playscripts and performances you are studying. On this page, learn how to use OneSearch to find books, read about how books are organized on library shelves, and view recommended books you might consider for your research.

Searching OneSearch to find books

Type your search in the OneSearch search box.

Your results will include a variety of types of resources. To limit your results to those titles owned by the BSU Libraries, click on "Library Catalog" on the left, under Refine Your Search.

OneSearch results page for the search "acting games" with an arrow pointing to the left to "Library Catalog"

Most books will be in the General Collection, on the upper floors of Bracken Library. Use the Book Locations and Floorplans page to figure out the exact floor to go to, based on the first couple letters of the call number. PN, for example, where theatre books are often classified, can be found on Floor 3 East.
