Full-service Circulation Point
The Foundational Sciences Library provides access to a full-service circulation point: return and renew most library materials from any University Libraries location, pick up books on hold and recalled books, receive guest accounts, and find out account information. Public computer stations & wireless access
The Foundational Sciences Library has 35 public computer stations and 2 color flatbed scanners for academic research, word processing, creation of spreadsheets and multimedia presentations, statistical analysis, and other academic pursuits. Use the Software Locator to find out if University Libraries has an application you need and from which computer stations it is available. Users need to have a Ball State username and password to access the internet. Guest accounts cannot be used in the Foundational Sciences Library and can only be obtained in Bracken Library.
Course reserves
Materials needed for specific courses may be placed on reserve in the Science Library in both print and electronic formats. Materials owned by either faculty or the libraries may be placed on reserve following copyright law. More information on course reserves can be found on the Course Reserves web page.
Electronic Journals
Access online articles from hundreds of electronic journal titles via the Science Databases on the University Libraries's main page or through individual periodical title records in OneSearch.
Quiet Study Area
The Foundational Sciences Library has seating for over 40 people at computer tables and soft, upholstered chairs in a quiet setting free from distractions. Maximum occupancy is 71 people.
