Computers & Scanners

The SHSL has 15 Public Access Computers (PACs) that have the same wide variety of software as the PACs in Bracken. 13 are Windows-based and 2 are Macs.

There are a total of 3 scanners: 2 flatbed scanners and 1 automatic feed scanner that saves directly to flash drives or SD cards. The flatbeds (1 large format, 1 letter-sized) are connected to PACs. The automatic feed scanner is built into the photocopier. All scanning is free.

The photocopier, in addition to being a scanner, also functions as a copier and color/black and white printer. It is not connected to the Print Smart system which means that cash or copy cards are required to use these aspects of the machine.

Printing: you can print color and black and white documents via the Print Smart system on the public printer or with the photocopier for an extra fee.

Outlets for charging various personal devices line the back wall and, of course, BSU secure and guest WiFi is available in and around the SHSL.

Chargers, Flash Drives, & Other

Flash drives, micro-USB/lightning charging cables (USB) with outlet plugs, a graphing calculator, and headphones are available at the counter. They can be checked out for 2 hours at a time and must remain within the SHSL.
