Finding DVDs and Blu-rays in OneSearch

You can use OneSearch to search the University Libraries' collection of films and television series on Blu-ray and DVD.

OneSearch is available on the Libraries' home page. If you're looking for a specific film or TV show, type its title in the box. If you're looking for videos on a topic, type a couple search terms that represent its main ideas. Then click the red magnifying glass button to run your search.

On the left side of the results page, find the "Content Type" filter. If you see the option "Video Recording" in the filter, check its box. If "Video Recording" does not appear among the top four or five options within the filter, type "video" in the text box above the filter, then check "Video Recording."

 OR

To borrow a DVD or Blu-ray, find it on shelf using its DVD or Blu-ray number (e.g. DVD VIDEO 6834 in the example below). During the closure of Bracken Library's lower level, DVDs and Blu-rays are shelved in the Schwartz Digital Complex lobby on Bracken's first floor. They are usually shelved in Education, Music and Media on the lower level.

Streaming video in Kanopy

Streaming videos at the University Libraries are available in Kanopy.

As in OneSearch, you can check to see if a particular film is available in Kanopy by searching for its title, or you can find movies about a topic using one or two search terms to represent the topic.
