RSS feeds / alerts in ProQuest

If the database has this icon at the top, then follow these directions.

Steps for RSS Feeds / Alerts

  • Go to the University Libraries homepage then click on "Databases."  Choose a ProQuest database such as Sociological Abstracts, PAIS, or PAIS International
  • Feel free to create an account with ProQuest.
    • My Research is a place where you can save, manage, and organize the content and supporting materials you find and create in ProQuest. You can include documents, searches, search alerts, RSS feeds, and more in My Research.
  • Do a search
  • Choose Save search/alert in the upper right corner of the page. Follow the directions in the box that pops up to whichever notification you choose.
  • You will need to log into My Research in Proquest to see the alerts and feeds. You can choose the appropriate tab to view results.

If you have chosen the RSS feed option, the results will show up in the order that you created them.  You can find that by going to My Research at the top of the ProQuest page, so by default the newest will be first.
