EDPS 260: Human Growth and Development for Elementary Education

This guide will help you find relevant empirical peer-reviewed articles for your research assignment in EDPS 260.

Find the full text of an article

To find the full text of an article, look for either "Access now" or "Access options" buttons at the end of the article record.

Access now, as shown here, indicates you can access and read the article immediately by clicking the button:

An APA PsycInfo record with an arrow pointing to the "Access now" button at the end of the record.

For many articles, you will need to click on the Access options button to see your access choices.

Here we see we have two choices to view the article immediately: via PDF download, or Online full text:

An APA PsycInfo record with an arrow pointing to the Access options button, showing two choices below: PDF and Online full text

Here we are prompted to choose Find it @ Ball State:

A record in APA PsycInfo with an arrow pointing to a "Access options" button, showing the choice below "Find it @ Ball State."

When you click on Find It @ Ball State , the system will search for the article's full text in the University Libraries' other databases and resources. Sometimes, you will be taken to a page with options to get to the full text of the article.

If the full text is not available, you'll be brought to a OneSearch page where you may select Request the item with Interlibrary Loan / ILLiad to request that we ask for the article from another library.
