Introduction To Games

Ball State University Libraries have a wide variety of games designed to educate and entertain.

Use the Tabs to the left to navigate through this guide and browse some of the games available at Bracken Library.

All Games are part of University Libraries' Education, Music and Media collections. Games are still available to borrow, despite the temporary closure of Bracken's lower level. Below you will find instructions on discovering and requesting games.

Finding games in Education, Music and Media

Games at University Libraries are part of the Education, Music and Media collections on Bracken Library's lower level. The shelves are open for browsing, and can be found near the EMM Desk on the lower level. Library users are welcome to peruse the shelves and select a game to borrow.

Alternately, you might wish to use OneSearch to search University Libraries' collection of board, card, and tabletop games. OneSearch is available on the Libraries' home page. If you're looking for a specific game, type its name in the box. If you'd like to browse the libraries' collection, type "games." You can also try terms like "board games," "card games," "word games," etc. to look for various kinds of games. After you've entered your search terms, click the red button.

On the left side of the results page, find the content type filter. If you see the option "Realia" in the filter, check its box. If "Realia" does not appear among the top four or five options within the filter, type "realia" in the text box above the filter, then click "Realia."
