The databases listed below will help you locate articles related to the social sciences. Sometimes you will find the entire document or article in the databases and sometimes you will find an abstract with links to the full article elsewhere.

Helpful hint: Use search limiters such as "Peer Reviewed/Scholarly" can help narrow your search. Here's an example:
Google Scholar
Google smarter! Google Scholar indexes scholarly materials available on the web. Not all sources are available full text, so be sure to link your BSU affiliation to your account so that you can access as many full text options as possible.
Here's how:
- Go to Google Scholar
- Click on Scholar Settings
- Select Library Links and enter Ball State University
- Check the box for "Ball State University - Find It @ BALL STATE @ Ball State."
- After doing your search in Google Scholar, click on Find It @ BALL STATE for articles to see if they are available in full text through BSU subscriptions
For any articles you still can't get, save money and use interlibrary loan!
