What is Research 101?

Register for Research 101

Research 101 is a three-part mini-course to teach high school students about college libraries and college-level research, including:

  • Introduction to College-level Research
  • Searching for Reliable Information
  • Evaluating and Crediting Your Sources

Participants will complete online activities and meet with Ball State librarians on Zoom to review and ask questions.



Research 101 has three parts. You can complete them in any order. You'll be directed back to this page after you complete each part. 

Zoom Meetings with a Librarian

The final part of Research 101 is a live session via Zoom with Ball State University Librarian Lisa Jarrell. You'll review Parts 1-3 and ask any questions you have. 

Dates and times are below. You will select your Zoom session date and time when you register for Research 101 at the link above. You'll have an option to set up an individual meeting time if none of these dates and times fit your schedule.
