Thanks to a generous donation, The Music Collection holds several never-on-CD titles from trad-jazz label, Stomp-Off Records.   These recordings date from the 1980s, a high-water mark in the revival movement of traditional jazz, i.e., the jazz style of the 1910s and a little beyond.  During this period, groups performed in local clubs and at many jazz festivals around the country.

The following titles have now been cataloged and are available for listening on-site:

Note:  Call numbers for vinyl records begin with the words "SOUND RECORD:"

  • Creole Rice Yerba Buena Jazz Band.  Cassoulet stomp; and, Doin; the hambone:  Sound Record 1616
  • South Frisco Jazz Band.  Broken Promises:  Sound Record 1617
  • Louisiana Repertory Jazz Ensemble.  Hot & Sweet Sounds of Lost New Orleans:  Sound Record 1632
