- WHO World Health Statistics AnnualThe World Health Statistics Annual provides statistical information about many health related issues including, AIDS prevalence, contraceptive use, life expectancy, infectious diseases, health services, risk factors, etc. This information can provide a basis for comparison to determine what problems a country has.
- Millennium Development GoalsLearn about the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. Also see the Reports and Statistics links.
- Sustainable Development GoalsThe United Nations post-2015 goals to carry on the what it began with the Millennium Development Goals.
- WHO Global Health Observatory: Map GallerySelect a topic to see maps representing information related that topic. For example, under the topic HIV AIDS you will find a map depicting the number of people dying from HIV-related causes.
- Demographic YearbookPublished by the United Nations, this statistical work provides mortality, vitality and natality statistical information for the world's countries. To download the complete yearbook or individual tables, click on the Demographic Yearbook tab.
- CIA World FactbookReliable information about countries and their populations. Select a country by clicking on Countries in the upper right hand corner. Then scroll down and select People and Society from the box in the left column. See the links to country comparisons below the information about the people (e.g. Population). International rankings are provided for various data including infant mortality, life expectancy, and health expenditures. Also see the Geography for information about the environment and natural hazards.
