OneSearch is the Ball State Libraries' search tool for materials in the library and beyond.
Start with a basic search using keywords, for example Bellini's opera, Norma:
From preliminary results, click on "More..." Under CONTENT TYPE, click on Video Recording. Next, scroll up to click "Apply"
The call numbers for DVDs begin with "DVD Video." Take the number to the Education, Music and Media counter on the Lower Level. Note: the main "author" of a DVD is the director, not the composer or performer.

With your Ball State username and password, you can view music documentaries and performances via Kanopy.com Unlike Youtube, Kanopy's videos are legally authorized for use in courses and presentations, and come with a durable URL for citing in papers. In addition, most videos include transcripts, making it easy to quote presenters. As of March, 2017, there are over 550 full-length videos for viewing.
You can also set up an account within Kanopy for creating lists and making clips of videos to embed in course materials.
