Bracken Library Resources

"General Collection"  Items marked "general Collection" are shelved on the second through fourth floors.  Guides to shelving areas are in the elevators and at the Reference Desk.

Educational Resources.  Reserve and check out DVDs.  You can also check out laptop computers, digital cameras, and digital camcorders.

Music Collection.  Compact Discs and course reserves for Music courses are kept behind the counter.  Reference books, books, and music scores (printed music) are kept on the open shelves toward the rear.  Computers near the MC counter have Finale installed for music notation editing.

Information Services includes the reference desk and reference-by-appointment services. Sometimes they refer music questions to the music librarian, and vice-versa.

Circulation and Course Reserves.  Musical Theatre and Theatre reserves are usually at this counter on the main level. Reserves for courses in the School of Music are usually kept at the Music Collection counter.

Interlibrary Loan.  You can borrow articles, books, scores, CDs, or DVDs from other libraries through this office.  From WorldCat or Multilink databases you can go directly to the Interlibrary loan request form.

Ask a Librarian.  You can use chat, e-mail, the phone, or request a one-on-one consultation for help with library resources.
