Minitab, originally intended as a tool for teaching statistics, is a general purpose statistical software package designed for easy interactive use. Minitab is well suited for instructional applications, but is also powerful enough to be used as a primary tool for analyzing research data.
IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) is a data management and analysis product produced by IBM SPSS, Inc. in Chicago, Illinois. Among its features are modules for statistical data analysis, including descriptive statistics such as plots, frequencies, charts, and lists, as well as sophisticated inferential and multivariate statistical procedures like analysis of variance (ANOVA), factor analysis, cluster analysis, and categorical data analysis. SPSS is particularly well-suited to survey research, though by no means is it limited to just this topic of exploration.
Remember that you can use the call number of a book on your subject to find other books on that subject. Just go to the ranges where books with that beginnnig call number are located.
Most of the books on SPSS can be found in the HA32 (Bracken 3rd floor West) or BF39 (Bracken 2nd floor East) call number ranges.
