DMR Anatomical Model Collection
Many models from both the Foundational Sciences Library and Education, Music and Media (EMM) have been photographed from different angles and identification keys added in PDF format to the Digital Media Repository (DMR). Click on the link below to see the collection.
The Health Library also has a few models but they have not been digitized.
Anatomical Models in the Foundational Sciences Library and Health Library
You will need a valid BSU ID in order to check out any of the models. The loan period for models in the Foundational Sciences Library (FB140/141) is 2 hours and the models must remain in the library. Most of the models in the Health Library can leave for more than 2 hours at a time.

The Department of Biology maintains an Anatomy Study Room in FB??? where a wider selection of anatomical models can be found. Hours for the Anatomy Study Room are posted on the door of FB???. You may also call the Department office at 285-5961 to find out when it will be open.

- Anatomy atlases- a digital library of anatomy informationAnatomy Atlases is an anatomy digital health sciences library that has been uniquely committed since 2006 and through its predecessors since 1995.
- eSkeletonsProvides an interactive environment in which to examine and learn about skeletal anatomy. The purpose of this site is to enable you to view the bones of both human and non-human primates and to gather information about them from their osteology database.
- Gray's Anatomy Online (from Bartleby's)The Bartleby.com edition of Gray’s Anatomy of the Human Body features 1,247 vibrant engravings—many in color—from the classic 1918 publication, as well as a subject index with 13,000 entries ranging from the Antrum of Highmore to the Zonule of Zinn.
- Historical Anatomies on the WebHistorical Anatomies on the Web is a digital project designed to give Internet users access to high quality images from important anatomical atlases in the National Library of Medicine's collection. The project offers selected images from NLM's atlas collection, not the entire books, with an emphasis on images and not texts. Atlases and images are selected primarily for their historical and artistic significance, with priority placed upon the earliest and/or the best edition of a work in NLM's possession.

- Visible Human ProjectThe Visible Human Project® is an outgrowth of the NLM's 1986 Long-Range Plan. It is the creation of complete, anatomically detailed, three-dimensional representations of the normal male and female human bodies. Acquisition of transverse CT, MR and cryosection images of representative male and female cadavers has been completed. The male was sectioned at one millimeter intervals, the female at one-third of a millimeter intervals.
