Welcome to the International Music Research Guide! This guide introduces resources on musical styles from around the world, including traditional and modern idioms. First visit the General Resources page to find resources like The Garland Encyclopedia of World Music, titles in the Global Music Series, Global Jukebox, print reference works, and recommended databases. Then begin exploring pages for specific continents and regions like Africa, China, Japan and Korea, Southeast Asia, The Indian Subcontinent, The Middle East, Europe, North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Australia and the Pacific.
