If you are looking for the ENG 103 Self-Guided Tour or the ENG 104 SearchSmart Tutorial, please follow the appropriate links below.

Self Guided Tour (for ENG 103)

This activity asks students to walk around Bracken Library and answer questions about varied locations and collections. Students can print the document above and then take it with them to answer the questions. The tour can be handed in at the beginning of the library session or at the Library Information Desk in Bracken Library.

ENG 103 Virtual Tour and ENG 104 SearchSmart Tutorial

Interactive online tutorial for English 103 students.  Students can download a certificate of completion at the end of the tutorial. This would be a good option if you have an online ENG 103 course, where some students would not be able to come to campus to complete the Self Guided Tour activity.

Online research skills tutorial for English 104 students. Students can download a certificate of completion at the end of the tutorial.

1. Students will have the opportunity to download a PDF certificate upon completion of a tutorial. The certificate does not include student names or personal information.

2. Let students know how they should turn in the saved PDF. For example, should they email you the file or turn it in on Canvas?

The University Libraries does not keep or manage individual quiz scores for students.

3. Although the quiz questions throughout the tutorials prompt students to correct their answers, the certificate will show only the first attempted answer. If students would like to go through the tutorial again, that would be fine.

4. If your students are coming to the library for an in-person research skills session or are attending an online session, please ask your students to complete the tutorial beforehand.
